Suzhou Nano Technology Development Forum was unveiled in Suzhou Industrial Park on November 7, 2008, with the nanotechnology experts from all over the world discussing the present condition and the development trend of nano technology in the 2-day meetings, to establish a public platform of the international cooperation and communication for development of the nanotechnology.

Wang Qin, vice director of Provincial Science and Technology Department, Dong Jianlong, vice director of International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Science and Technology, Zhou Weiqiang, vice mayor of Suzhou City and Yang Jianzhong, vice secretary of SIP CCP Committee jointly unveiled the Forum.

The Forum is sponsored by Jiangsu Science and Technology Department, Suzhou Science and Technology Bureau and SIP Science and Technology Bureau, and Biobay as the core area of SIP, the 3rd in China and the 1st in Jiangsu of the kind, and Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics, CAS (SINANO, CAS) in Biobay co-sponsored the Forum.

The meeting includes the Opening Ceremony, plenary lecture and the 4 keynote lectures (nano industry development, semiconductor technology, nano biomedicine and nano material techniques). Totally over 100 attendees from US, Germany, Great Britain, France, Japan, Finland, Canada, Singapore and Russia and Hong Kong will attend the meeting, in which the senior scientists from US, Japan, Germany, Russia and other countries will introduce the present condition, development trend and industrialization of the nano research in the respective countries.
